Rushi Oza has been involved with golf for over 20 years. He grew up in Canton, Ohio, where his father introduced him to the game at the age of 10. Together, they went on countless trips to the driving range and golf course, a majority of the time late into the evenings, which is where he fell in love with the game.
In the efforts to pursue competitive golf, Rushi competed in numerous junior events around Ohio as well as around the country. He continued his drive for competitive golf while enrolled at NC State University where he earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management and Finance.
After graduating in 2008, he moved to South Florida to pursue a career as a Professional Golfer. Rushi trained for 5 years under Dr. TJ Tomasi, former Golf Magazine Top-100 Instructor. His career included playing events in 26 different states and all throughout South America. Through his travels, he saw the need for sound instruction and the importance of growing the game. This is where he developed a vision to become an instructor to fulfill an important need in the industry.
After deciding to change career paths and become an instructor, Rushi became a Class A PGA Professional in 2015. Throughout the two-year process, he trained under and was mentored by Dr. Tomasi to learn what it takes to be a good instructor. Rushi has also had the influence of other top ranked golf instructors such as Jim McLean and John Bierkan.
Rushi is currently a Master Instructor at The Jim McLean Golf School in Coral Gables, Florida. He still continues his passion for playing competitive golf and regularly competes in the South Florida Chapter and Section events in pursuit of reaching his goals of playing in the PGA Professional Championship each year and qualifying for The PGA Championship.
